Breah

About Breah:

From singing children's Bible songs to her family on their living room fireplace, to leading worship as an adult, music has been a part of Breah's life for as long as she can remember. Currently, Breah is working as a board certified music therapist and has also worked as a worship leader in the past. Breah also has a passion for teaching music.

Breah's involvement in music started in the church. She participated in the preschool joy bells choir and continued on to participate in children's musicals in elementary school. Breah joined the school band in 5th grade picking up the flute as her first instrument. In middle school, Breah had an interest in joining the jazz band and that is when she picked up bass guitar. From there she couldn't stop picking up instruments! Breah participated in symphonic band, jazz band, pep band, and marching band all through middle and high school and even into college.

Breah's musical journey took her to Mount Vernon Nazarene University where she earned a bachelor of arts in music education. Breah loves teaching music but felt education was not where God was calling her to stay. After much praying she decided to go back to school. She attended Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College, remotely, to earn a bachelor equivalency certification in music therapy. She continued her education at SMWC to earn a master of arts in music therapy.

Breah has called Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene home her whole life. Breah has been involved in the First Naz praise team since she was in 7th grade. Breah also participated in the First Naz youth group praise team in middle and high school. During her Junior and Senior years of High school, Breah was the worship leader of the youth group praise team. In college, Breah worked as the assistant worship leader at First Naz, mostly leading worship at the church's satellite campus in Fredericktown, Living Hope Community Church. While in this position, Breah was blessed to be mentored and nurtured by the lead worship pastor, who helped shape her into a worship musician.

In the worship setting, Breah plays guitar, bass, drums, and dabbles in electric guitar. Breah is also a vocalist.

In her free time, Breah enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, camping, jetskiing, fishing, and of course playing music!
